Registration to attend the Computer Science for High Schools event to be held in Wellington at Victoria University's Kelburn Campus from Wednesday the 13th of December to Friday the 15th of December 2016 (finishing midday).

The aim of the Wellington session is slightly different from the Canterbury or Auckland CS4HS session. Whilst we will be providing PD around the programming standards for NCEA Levels 1,2 and 3 we will also run some sessions around robotics (as it's one of our areas of expertise) and additional sessions based on the feedback we receive on the pre-registration forms.

Whilst we recommend that you attend the entire conference, we recognise that teaching and other commitments may not make this possible so attending for only part of the time is also fine. Please just let us know this in the comments of the response form. Please direct any additional queries or comments to

An outline timetable for the Wellington CS4HS event is available, but is subject to change depending on the feedback provided in the form below.

Did you attend any CS4HS Events previously?

For those unfamiliar with CS4HS we have a fixed grant from Google and an unpredictable number of attendees, but in the past we've managed to cover basic travel costs (flights or long-distance driving costs) for teachers outside Wellington, accommodation and meals, and our intention is to do that this year. There is no registration fee, so for local teachers you just need to get cover for any classes you have, and get yourself to the university. We won't be able to cover relief costs.

What best describes your situation? *

We will use this to assist in sharing the sponsorship for travel and accommodation costs

Will you require accommodation on additional nights?*

Default accommodation provided for attendees who live more than 50km away from the campus is for Wednesday (13th) and Thursday (14th) nights.

Session Topics

CS4HS at Victoria will be broken up into a maximum of 5 concurrent sessions on a variety of topics over the 3 day period. Choosing your favourites from the list below will allow us to decide how to structure the session schedule which we will email out to attendees closer to the date. We will also have some guest speakers from industry. If there are any topics you would be interested in having that do not appear on this list please add them to the registration form and we will endeavour to cover them as well.

Topics of interest

Are there any other topics, talks or demonstrations and exercises you would like to see included in the program?
